Here I review the significance of telomere defects for understanding the genetics, disease patterns and pathophysiology of IPF. The importance of this diagnosis for patient care decisions will also be discussed.
The need for Bone Marrow Donors

These findings suggest that it is important to identify donors with healthy telomere maintenance that are within the biologically tolerable range of the recipient.
