Mike, sure for ab exercises those can be performed at home. I don't see any problem with that, abs can take a lot and build a tolerance over time. For progress though if you mean seeing your abs how is your diet? Sounds like you're working them plenty so only other thing would be reducing the fat via your diet.

hello, i'm a 15 year old kid who already has a decent set of abs, but I believe there is always room for improvement. I was wondering if anyone knew if weight lifting on the arms stunts growth. I'm not talking about crazy maxed out lifting, but a steady amount that gradually increases. I want my arms to get stronger, but fear that it may stunt my growth. Any ideas on that theory?

Hi Kat, I'd highly recommend checking out the Stronglifts program. I just started it about a month ago and already seeing great gains. It focuses on squats and deadlifts which will strengthen your core and help your back. You'll also work your abs in the process. What I like about this program is it's less exercises but they work more parts of your body, so it's more efficient.
The extra muscle will help burn fat and get your abs showing too. I'm actually increasing my calories but losing body fat on this.
The key is to just make sure you perform these exercises carefully. One good thing about the program is it starts you out with just an empty bar so it's easy to work your way up.
The site is: www.stronglifts.com
Good luck!

Hey, I like this guide a lot also. I am a young athlete. I had developed a lower back injury and have just finished healing from it. Could you give me a list or some pointers that will strengthen my lower back but also my lower abs as well to get my sculpted abs back? Thank you for the tips, they are much appreciated.
Mike, Hi glad you enjoyed the site. Abs can take quite a lot of punishment and heal quickly. I recommend doing them everyday and after your training sessions. I usually like to do 3 sets for each part, do as many reps as you can handle, Keep track of your progress so you can constantly improve. Good Luck.
